Background

Glycoproteins are proteins which contain oligosaccharide (sugar) chains covalently attached to amino acid side-chains. The carbohydrate is attached to the protein in a cotranslational or posttranslational modification. This process is known as glycosylation. Secreted extracellular proteins are often glycosylated.

Usage Guide

Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are provided as lyophilized powder which are shipped with blue ice. Bulk packages of recombinant proteins are provided as frozen liquid which are shipped with dry ice.

Storage

Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20C to -80C It is recommended that aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.

Reconstitution

Reconstitute at 250 μg/ml in sterile water.
